Prologue:

We start in New York City. The city is raw, tense, every street set with an unspoken urgency. The streets hum with the everyday chaos of a new world constantly on the edge of a new crisis. Pulled from their own realities, tethered to their pasts, they had spent a year in this strange new existence, caught between what was and what could be. Within this new world a fragile peace has settled over the people, but there’s an undercurrent of something darker moving beneath the surface unknown to most. No one knows it, but the heroes and villains who walk the streets are on the verge of an unwitting collision.
